Success stories of our graduates
“All my life I wanted to be a programmer, and my department helped me with this – it gave me the necessary set of basic knowledge with which I could develop as a specialist. Thanks to her, I got a summer internship at Sigma Software, where I was noticed and invited to work. I have been working at Sigma Software for 8 years now.”

Oleksandr Sayenko
Senior iOS Developer at Sigma Software
At the moment I am a Senior Software Engineer and during my 5-year career I have participated in 4 large and interesting projects. Including the development of mobile games with a multi-million audience.
Now I work at EPAM Systems. It is the largest IT company in Ukraine, with more than 40000 employees worldwide. Working in IT gives me the opportunity to travel the world, to be on business trips, to communicate with interesting and versatile people from different corners of our planet.
And it all started in 2010 when I entered the Department 302 (former Department of Information Management Systems) of the 3rd Faculty. The most difficult was probably the first year, when I was left alone with myself and my goal. I always knew what I wanted to become and went forward. And now after some time I want to say thank you to the teachers and the management of the department and the University for investing in us knowledge, help and support in difficult moments.
I can confidently say that 5 years in KAI I would not change for any other university
Osmokesku Arthur
Senior Software Engineer at EPAM Systems
I’ve been working in software testing for not much more than five years: during this time I’ve had to deal with different languages, tools and technologies – never a dull moment.
The current project uses the following stack: Java, Kotlin, ruby, JS/TS, angular, AWS, MSSql, MongoDB, Cassandra.
As a tester, I had to face such tasks as: setting up test environments and writing automated tests, writing documentation, making predictive performance estimates, making quality metrics and many more.
My profession allows me to visit different countries, including through business trips and conferences, to communicate with specialists all over the world.
At university, I received a fundamental knowledge base, which I apply every day. The most valuable thing that my specialty has given me is understanding not only the subtleties of implementation, but also architecture and business processes.
The university makes you realize that the main leitmotif and the key to success is continuous learning and the desire to be the best version of yourself every day.
I would like to advise students to: absorb the knowledge they are given at the university, follow the trends of technology development around the world, attend conferences and meetups, join thematic communities in popular messengers
Aliluenko Yevheniia
General QA engineer at Svitla Systems
My history with KAI began with stories from my father’s military friends about this promising university. Being a foreign student, the first thing I had to do was to take a Russian language course.
Thanks to incredibly interesting, patient and talented teachers, we attended classes with pleasure, and I easily mastered the foreign language. To this day, talking to me on the phone, the interlocutor does not realize that I am a foreigner. Of course, I studied hard, but it is a great merit of teachers.
I chose my specialty at the call of my soul, and the direction covers a huge range of disciplines on information technologies, which can be applied to any sphere of human activity. The direction is modern, dynamically developing, requiring serious technological training and promising for a career.
Perhaps some of the students are facing a choice among several majors. From my side, I can only recommend choosing my favorite department. The advantage of the specialty is that it gives students a wide range of knowledge. Personally, it has allowed me to work in fields as diverse as construction, industry and telecommunications. The advantage of PhD status has given me the opportunity to hold senior positions in large companies and manage a team of employees. Years of experience have led me to a very successful career. And now as a professional I can share my knowledge as a lecturer at Lebanese French University-LFU in Kurdistan, my homeland.
I would like to express my gratitude to my supervisor A.V. Prokhorov and all the teachers of the Department of Computer Science and Information Technology for their professionalism, competence and high level of teaching. You have made invaluable efforts so that your students received relevant knowledge and unique experience, which we realize in our professional activity reaching new heights. My sincere wishes to the head and department – prosperity, innovative projects, talented students, fruitful cooperation in scientific activities.
With deep gratitude, your graduate of 2015, Sood M.-Amin
Soud Mohammed Amin
Lebanese French University-LFU
My story began in 2012, when I became a student of the Department of Information Management Systems with the goal of building a career in information technology.
Today I work as a Senior Software Testing Engineer in the international company EPAM Systems.
During the years of my work I had the opportunity to cooperate with dozens of technical specialists from EU and USA, working on enterprise solutions that solve business problems of world famous companies.
The work of a modern engineer is a synergy of different skills, theory, practice and experience. A sought-after Test Engineer combines knowledge from Software Testing, Data Analysis, Business Analysis, DevOps era.
University gives us this basic knowledge, develops technical outlook and it is one of the factors that allows us to adapt quickly and be in demand.
I have had to deal with algorithms and approaches that I first encountered at university.
Starting a learning or career path it is important to form the right goals and a good foundation.
For my fundamental knowledge and skills I am immensely grateful to the department 302.
